RAPE IS BAD.

I never imagined that phrase would be a hot button issue. In a world where every subject has a thousand shades of a thousand colors, I figured RAPE IS BAD would be pretty black and white. But in the land of internet trolls and hot takes…. apparently certain fuck stains think there is some wiggle room to the argument. Men’s Rights Activists, Trump Supporters, Bros, Bruhs, Bras, and other Axe Body Spray fans are out there in masses to remind us that it’s “not all men” and that “feminism is sexist.” Try and argue with these meatheads, and you’ll get a barrage of code words, hashtags, and a fuck-ton of stats gathered from “I’mFuckingRight.com.”

I recently shared a post on my Facebook page denouncing rape and the “she was asking for it with her slutty outfit” message a lot of these morons adhere to. Within minutes, someone was in my comments calling me a “white knight.” As if the only possible reason that I could be against rape was that I was trying to impress internet hotties. Rape Is Bad has evidently gone from a solid statement to a possible pickup line.

Well let me make things perfectly clear, my Drakkar Noir scented friends… I don’t raise my voice against rape/sexual assault to get a nude from a Facebook friend.

I raise my voice against rape/sexual assault because it needs to be said.

I raise my voice against rape/sexual assault because I have a daughter. And she needs to know that her dad is out there fighting the good fight.

I raise my voice against rape/sexual assault because I have a girlfriend, and she needs to know that I’m better than the abusive pricks she was with before me.

And lastly, I raise my voice and against rape/sexual assault because 75% of my friends list shared a #metoo post. And I need them to know that at least one person out there can look at them and say:
“I believe that this happened to you.”
“It’s fucked up that this happened to you.”
“You DID NOT deserve for this to happen to you.”
“I’m truly very sorry that this happened to you.”

And if this makes me a “white knight “…

Then I’m gonna be the baddest White Knight that you’ve ever fucking seen.
